Wastewater Operator

Adecco is currently seeking a skilled Wastewater Operator to join our team in Sparwood, BC. This Long-term Contract role offers a competitive salary of $60-$70 per hour. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and efficient operation of wastewater treatment systems, maintaining high safety and performance standards.

• Operate, monitor, and inspect equipment such as pumps, motors, compressors, and chemical pumps.
• Interpret SCADA and lab data; adjust equipment to optimize processing.
• Record daily operational data and coordinate adjustments with shift operators.
• Lay, connect, and test water and sewer lines; disinfect, flush, and repair water mains and sewer lines.
• Operate and maintain wastewater lift stations, perform repairs on pumps, motors, chlorinators, and valves.
• Safely handle, load, and unload chemicals.
• Regulate system flows and pressures by starting or shutting down pumps.
• Perform pump efficiency tests and collect water samples for analysis.

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in water treatment facility operations.
• EOCP Program, Diploma in Sciences, Environmental Technology, or equivalent training.
• Water Treatment Certification: WWT Level III or higher.
• Experience with PLCs, HMI systems, and membrane filtration.
• Strong mechanical understanding of process equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent.
