Adecco Professional has partnered with a design firm to hire for a Showroom Coordinator job opening in Ottawa, ON This full-time, temporary position is an in-showroom position and will require you to work in a polished, front facing capacity while supporting the clients, sales team and with various events. The Showroom Coordinator will be working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm but requires flexibility of overtime/modified hours when required for outside hour showroom tours or evening events. We are looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic, polished professional to join a diverse, fun, fast paced, multifunctional environment in a high-end, creative, design setting. This creative self-starter must be passionate about providing best-in-class guest experience through their positive and flexible approach and attitude.
Some of the responsibilities for the Showroom Coordinator job opening in Ottawa, ON may include but are not limited to:
First impression of the showroom, meet and greet in an engaging manner
Responsible for the opening an closing of the showroom (lights, alarms, café set up, meeting room set up and more)
Provide exceptional customer service and a VIP experience for their scheduled guests
Assist with scheduling of internal and client meetings
Preparation for the meetings including research, agenda set up, catering, name tags, technology, transportation planning and more
Ensure catering, beverage and food inventory is fresh and ordered in advance
Vendor relations and reviewing budgets keeping costs within or under; negotiating and/or uncovering new catering and supply vendors
Help to plan, organize, coordinate and facilitate events to ensure all details are thought of prior and planned for; ensuring a best in class event for their prospects/clients
Support the Sales team with various tasks as required
Ensure the appearance of the showroom and all meeting areas are always neat, tidy and showcased with a first class presentation
Additional responsibilities as needed.
Some of the requirements for the Showroom Coordinator job opening in Ottawa, ON include, but are not limited to:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar, related capacity (corporate/b2b, not retail); showroom experience a strong asset
Completed post-secondary education in business, hospitality or a related field.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate to a diverse group of people in various roles
A self-starter, you are resourceful and a multi-tasker while still being flexible and adaptable to change; able to work independently and without constant management
High-level attention to detail – hypersensitive to detail to be specific; best in class presentation
Ability to work in a busy, time sensitive setting with a ‘no job too small or large’ attitude
Proficient technology skills, confident with MS Office applications; Salesforce experience an asset
