Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Shipping & Receiving Specialist to oversee high-level logistics operations, ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods for our client in Mississauga, ON. This role requires expertise in inventory management, shipping coordination, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
This position requires CGP (Controlled Goods Program) clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain this clearance as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities:
Monitored shipping documentation and flow of shipment based on information generated by SAP to meet the revenue requirement approximately 4millions per week
Collaborated with internal and external departments to follow up and solve escalated issues for approximately 40 outbound shipments/deliveries per day
Implementing proper methods to maintain inventory records and well handle paperwork and inventory with less than 15% of loss
Demonstrated a consistent aptitude to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously including government properties, military units, inventory and high-volume shipments
Expedited shipments and orders to meet deadlines for shipment ‘Cut-Off’ times to customers and carriers to support highly urgent shipments for airlines
Generated appropriate Customs Compliance, Export Documentation and Dangerous Goods Documentations for outbound shipments based on government regulations and restrictions
Coordinated with various carriers for outbound shipments/deliveries and performed follow-ups
Demonstrated a consistent aptitude to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Maintained relationships with various carriers and updated shipping routes and costs
Enthusiastic for implementing and applying process improvements
Ensure timely and accurate execution of urgent shipments to mitigate fines and meet customers’ requirements
Identify and resolve shipping errors and troubleshoot transportation-related issues.
Qualifications:
College or university diploma in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience – ideally within the Logistics Department of manufacturing companies.
Full Logistics experience including but not limited to Courier shipping, Freight forwarding shipments
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Highly effective critical-thinking and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
Profound knowledge and experience in SAP, Microsoft Office package
Highly adaptability skill to meet customers’ demands and deal with emergency situations
Prefer candidate with Green Belt or improvement process experience
Ability to work independently and group under pressure
Profound knowledge in Import/Export/Customs Regulation documentation package
Keen attention to details and high productivity (minimum 40 shipments handled daily)
A genuine desire to help others with a strong customer service focus.
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations, work under pressure, and meet deadlines especially Aircraft on the Ground shipments
Enthusiastic learner who is willing to accept challenges for improvement and growth opportunities
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
