Adecco is actively seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Development Manager for our client in the consumer products industry. This exciting full-time position is based in the Greater Vancouver Area, BC, with a salary range of $75,000 – $85,000 per annum. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving sales growth and building strong client relationships across multiple channels in the region.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationships with both current and prospective clients across the territory (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, NWT) to ensure long-term business growth and maximize sales potential.
Achieve and exceed annual sales goals by expanding regional business, executing trade marketing activities, and driving product distribution across key accounts.
Ensure premium branded presence at points of sale and oversee merchandising standards in-store to drive product visibility and sales.
Partner with the Marketing team to initiate regional consumer marketing initiatives, supporting brand awareness and demand generation through local events, retailer promotions, and social media activations.
Address customer concerns, complaints, and issues proactively to maintain strong relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
Identify and penetrate new prospect channels and accounts, including specialty trade, department stores, grocery, and interior design accounts.
Regularly update sales reporting logs, track performance metrics, and present results to the team to monitor progress and refine strategies.
Participate in seasonal markets and tradeshows, both domestically and internationally, to promote products and network with industry professionals.
Attend forecasting meetings to contribute valuable insights and ensure accurate sales forecasts.
Requirements:
Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
5+ years in account management, ideally within the fast-moving consumer goods or durable consumer products sector.
Experience in selling to both independent specialty stores and key accounts, with a preference for experience in the household space. Knowledge of the foodservice market is a plus.
Proven track record in expanding distribution, increasing brand visibility, and driving retail sales.
Ability to collaborate with customers on marketing initiatives and leverage local marketing opportunities to promote brand growth.
Ability to travel 3-4 days per week to customer locations, including overnight trips and weekend travel as needed.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, CRM tools, and social media.
University degree or equivalent training relevant to the position.
Fluency in English (French is a plus).
Must possess a valid driver’s license and a vehicle for customer visits.
Self-starter with a solution-focused mindset.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to use market insights to guide strategies.
