Adecco is actively seeking dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker (PSW) for our client’s Overnight Respite Program in York and South Simcoe, ON. This full-time position offers competitive compensation, based on experience, with both day and overnight shifts available. As a PSW, you will play a critical role in providing personal care, supporting clients with daily activities, and ensuring a positive, safe, and comfortable environment for those in respite care.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with bathing, hair washing, oral hygiene, dressing, perineal hygiene, elimination, positioning, and transferring. Administer medication and monitor health status.
- Support clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, and grocery shopping.
- Monitor health status, maintain a safe household environment, comply with infection control practices, and report any incidents or changes in client health.
- Help facilitate engaging social and recreational activities to enrich the client experience.
- Complete reports accurately, attend meetings, and adhere to agency policies.
Requirements:
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent
- Experience in senior care and household management
- Ability to read and write English at a Grade 10 level
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Fluency in English & French (an asset)
- Good physical health to support clients with mobility and household tasks
- A genuine passion for helping others, particularly seniors.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach.
- An ability to work independently and as part of a caregiving team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
