Adecco is actively seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our client’s team to oversee the production shop in Fort McMurray, AB, focusing on optimizing efficiency and quality through Lean Manufacturing principles. In this role, you will lead a customer-oriented team, develop strategies to enhance operational productivity, and manage costs effectively. You will monitor key performance indicators, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and foster cross-functional collaboration with Sales and Engineering teams. Pay Rate: $130k-$150k/year.

Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the production shop to optimize efficiency and quality while managing costs.
Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and strategies to prevent and resolve production issues effectively.
Develop a customer-oriented manufacturing team, sharing a vision for improvement that aligns with company culture.
Measure and communicate key performance indicators; establish and assess employee performance.
Schedule work in accordance with contracts and client expectations, planning workflow and resource allocation.
Support health and safety initiatives, promoting a zero-harm culture.
Lead operational studies to identify and resolve process-related issues; oversee audits for compliance.
Define objectives and handle budget requests to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Manage factory operations, task scheduling, purchasing, and maintenance planning to ensure production equipment reliability.
Foster collaboration with Sales, Application Engineering, Product Engineering, and Product management teams.
Adhere to safety procedures and legal obligations, recognizing and reporting hazards.
Intervene in unsafe practices and promote a safe work environment.

Requirements:
Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Operations Management.
10+ years of experience in operations and Lean management.
Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, ISO norms, and Six Sigma.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Ability to work independently, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
