Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our client’s manufacturing team in Belleville, ON. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment used in our production process. Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery to ensure they operate efficiently.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on equipment such as conveyors, packaging machines, mixers, and pumps.
Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and equipment diagrams to diagnose and fix problems.
Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and correct equipment issues before they lead to production downtime.
Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment as required.
Replace worn or damaged parts, such as belts, bearings, motors, and gears, to maintain equipment performance.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations by following proper lockout/tagout procedures and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules during repairs and maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including repairs made, parts used, and preventative maintenance schedules.
Operate hoists, lifts, and other equipment to move or repair machinery when needed.
Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures to improve the reliability of equipment and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field is a plus.
3+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a focus on minimizing production downtime.
Knowledge of safety standards, including OSHA regulations and proper lockout/tagout procedures.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in varying conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
