Adecco is hiring for a temporary full-time Machine Operator in Mississauga, ON. In this role you will be responsible the safe and effective running of a machine on a production line. This position will require standing, bending, lifting and repetitive functions; this includes keeping ones safety as top priority. - Pay rate: $22.06/hour
- Location: Mississauga, ON (Dundas Street East and 403) – free parking
- Shifts: 6am – 2:15pm and 2pm – 10:15pm (must be able to work these shifts)

Machine Operator Responsibilities:
- Is able to drive a 2 or 4 track machine independently and ensures the proper functioning of the equipment under his responsibility.
- Performs all complete changes of work order within the time provided for this purpose, and is versatile on the machine park.
- Makes adjustments to the machine according to the methods defined with the following objective: to lose as little material as possible in a minimum of adjustment time.
- Ensures the traceability of the raw materials used.
- Performs and validates the pre-series with the Quality Controller.
- Must escalate issues to the Team Leader or his replacement.
- Is responsible for the 5S of his machine and their immediate environment.
- Ensures that production reports are correctly completed.
- Participates in preventive maintenance operations and may be required to perform troubleshooting.
- Intervenes in the event of technical difficulties to make the necessary adjustments.
- Walks around all the machines to check different points:
- Maintain the cleanliness of machines.
- Discuss with Packers and QCs to follow up on quality problems.
- Prepares settings, setups with optimum time and wastage.
- Validates that all the tools are available to produce the following orders.
- Complies with and enforces the rules in terms of Quality, Hygiene & Food Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, and the Environment.
- Respects and enforces the safety instructions and work instructions on the machine they are driving
Machine Operator Qualifications:
- At least 1 year as a successful machine operator
- Be passionate about cleanliness, health and safety at all times; approved safety boots required
- Strong English communication and interpersonal skills
- Technically savvy; ability to learn quickly
- Works well independently but also as a key team member
- Strong work ethic to be on time for shift changes and reliable overall
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
