Adecco is actively recruiting for Home Support Workers to join a well-established, compassionate team in Gold River, BC. This is a Full-Time position offering an hourly wage of $22.50 to $25. As a Home Support Worker, you will be assisting elderly citizens and individuals in need of support with various aspects of daily life, ensuring they live comfortably and safely in their homes.

Responsibilities:
Assist elderly clients and those in need with home support, preparing for health appointments, and managing basic daily needs.
Advise clients on healthy eating and meal balance, ensuring access to non-perishable food stocks.
Conduct safety checks on living conditions, identifying risks, and maintaining cleanliness.
Aid clients with mobility access and provide hands-on assistance as required.
Guide clients in adopting healthy living activities and inform them of local community activities.
Organize and help plan activities for clients to engage in, promoting socialization and well-being.
Work with clients' families to plan and coordinate care, participating in planning meetings as needed.
Maintain accurate client records and make detailed reports for proper tracking of care.
Perform additional duties and tasks as required.
You will work primarily indoors at clients' homes.
Flexibility in working hours is required, as shift work and fluctuating hours are part of the role.
COVID-19 vaccination (minimum two doses) is required.
A vehicle is necessary to travel between client locations.
Requirements:
Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment, where collaboration and mutual support are essential.
Capability to manage complex situations, remain calm under pressure, and make thoughtful decisions while respecting cultural traditions.
Tactful, compassionate, and sensitive when interacting with others.
Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and manage stairs.
An RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
Previous experience in a home support worker or similar role is an asset.
First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage.
