Adecco is currently recruiting for a Application Support Specialist for a 1 Year contract with possibility of extension of up to 3 years with our Public Sector Client in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Secret level Security clearance. The opportunity requires the potential for hybrid work for the duration of the contract.
The Application Support Specialist will have the following responsibilities:
Reimage laptops with departmental standard Windows operating system compatible with the biometric collection systems. Follow vendor installation instructions, as described;
Perform tests of laptops to ensure required functionality is present;
Coordinate installation, operation, resolution of hardware and software problems for laptops installed to support the biometric collection systems;
Maintain accurate records of the laptop inventory - using Department of National Defence Supply Support Activity (SSA), serial numbers, wiring schemes and network problems and solutions;
Resolve all connectivity and internal technical problems;
Assist in the rollout of laptops within the NCR, across Canada and 2 international sites, from the NCR to support the biometric collection systems; and
Maintain interface with user sites and locations to ensure seamless installation of laptops and required user functionality.
The Application Support Specialist must meet the following mandatory requirements:
Must hold an undergraduate’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering/Applied Science, Science, Mathematics or a related field;
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience of technical integration and troubleshooting within the last 6 years.;
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with laptop reimaging and deployment within the last 6 years.;
Must have 5 years of experience in the configuration, installation, inventory management, and troubleshooting of laptops within the last 6 years.
