Responsibilities:
Lead and manage municipal infrastructure projects, including transportation, water, and sewer design.
Collaborate with an integrated team of engineers, technologists, and support staff to deliver innovative solutions for municipal clients.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to junior and intermediate staff, helping them navigate project challenges and develop professionally.
Manage client relationships, ensuring that project deliverables align with client expectations while fostering long-term business relationships.
Take the lead in developing competitive proposals to secure new projects and business opportunities.
Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
Engage in business development activities to expand the client base and secure future work.
Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
Manage project risk, troubleshooting issues as they arise and ensuring smooth project execution from start to finish.
Requirements:
Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
8-10 years of experience in municipal infrastructure, encompassing transportation, water, and sewer design.
A proven track record of managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects within a municipal or civil engineering context.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior staff and foster a positive, collaborative team culture.
Experience in business development and proposal preparation.
Strong client management and communication skills.
A passion for creating sustainable and high-quality infrastructure solutions.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
A professional engineering designation (P.Eng.) or the ability to obtain one in the near future is preferred.
