Adecco is currently seeking a Buyer to join our client’s dynamic team in Scarborough, ON. This is a Temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent with an hourly rate of $30–$32 CAD. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment, supporting purchasing and procurement operations across multiple projects.
Pay rate: $30-$32/hour.

Shifts: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities:
Manage competitive quote processes for both large and small-scale projects, ensuring thorough analysis before awarding business.
Collaborate closely with production teams to understand schedules, seasonal demand, and align vendor capacity accordingly.
Work with the purchasing team to grow and qualify a robust vendor base, while monitoring raw material stock levels to maintain production continuity.
Conduct vendor capacity analyses and implement level load plans
Negotiate pricing and service agreements to build strategic vendor partnerships
Monitor supplier performance with benchmarking and delivery reports
Expedite materials and find creative solutions to meet production deadlines
Maintain accurate databases for inventory, vendors, and purchase orders
Participate in supplier qualification processes and drive procurement improvements
Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Finance, A/P, and more
Resolve invoicing discrepancies in partnership with internal teams
Take part in special projects and support continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
University Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; direct industry experience preferred
Experience with multi-commodity purchasing and knowledge of commodity indices
Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
Familiar with ERP/MRP systems
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
Membership in APICS or SCMA is a plus
