Adecco is currently seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Bank Teller to join our client’s team in Ottawa, ON. This 6-month contract role with possibility of extension, offers a competitive salary of $25 per hour. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

  • Pay rate: $25/hour.

  • Location: Ottawa, ON

  • Shifts: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

  • Job type: 6-month contract with possibility of extension | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze accounts and data for accuracy, utilizing Excel for data extraction and reporting.

  • Process returned items from banking portals and reports.

  • Confirm posting of checks and transactions, investigating discrepancies in account activity.

  • Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.

  • Provide additional distribution and bank transaction information, maintaining spreadsheets and databases.

  • Maintain client correspondence files and respond to notices appropriately.

  • Record daily time in the company timekeeping system.

  • Assist with special projects and duties assigned by the Disbursement Team Supervisor.

  • Prepare quarterly and yearly reconciliation reports for income tax purposes.

  • Apply for tax identification numbers from government agencies and manage the application process.

Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

  • Minimum 1-2 years of finance or accounting experience; recent graduates with relevant diplomas will be considered.

  • Previous bank teller experience or data entry experience is required

  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and operational procedures.

  • Intermediate Excel and computer skills in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail; able to work under pressure.
