Adecco is currently hiring for a full-time Associate, Environmental and Product Stewardship for our client in Ottawa, ON.

As a member of the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team, you will fulfill the role of an Associate, Environmental and Product Stewardship to implement and maintain APOC’s EHS and Product Stewardship programs. This is an 18-month developmental assignment with an opportunity for career growth within a dynamic and impactful environment.

  • Job type: Full-time | Temporary | 18-month contract

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate compliance with various Product Stewardship regulations (e.g., REACH-like, RoHS-like, EU MDR, etc.).

  • Manage internal Product Stewardship compliance database.

  • Maintain product bill of materials, composition, and regulatory information.

  • Request Certificates of Compliance from suppliers.

  • Conduct waste audits and support waste vendor approvals.

  • Perform regulatory and corporate environmental and product stewardship compliance reporting.

  • Develop and maintain Product Stewardship program procedures and provide related training.

  • Act as Primary for Restricted Substance Assessments (RSA’s) and provide mentoring.

  • Support environmental programs through audits and reduction initiatives.

  • Represent Product Stewardship on committees and project teams.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must be eligible to reside and work with Canada.

  • University degree in environmental science, engineering, chemistry, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in environmental management, sustainability, and product stewardship.

  • Knowledge of site environmental and product stewardship regulations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Proficiency in updating technical data in databases and systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Canadian Environmental Professional certification designation.
