Successful candidate, Olivia Poulin, will spend one month under the mentorship of Gilbert Boileau, President of Adecco Canada
Toronto, ON, May 24, 2018 – The Adecco Group Canada has chosen the Canadian participant of its second ‘CEO for One Month’ initiative. ‘CEO for One Month’ is part of the worldwide Adecco Way to Work™ program, which is designed to help talent increase their employability and career prospects.
Olivia Poulin was chosen from a talented group of students and young professionals in Canada to be the country’s ‘CEO for One Month’. Olivia is currently studying Business Administration at Brock University, Goodman School of Business. She is one of 47 other ‘CEO for One Month’ participants appointed across the world, and will spend a month shadowing The Adecco Group Canada leadership team, gaining a unique insight into the organization’s country and group operations. Olivia will gain experience in HR, management, finance, marketing and public speaking. She will then have the chance to take part in a worldwide selection process to become the global ‘CEO for One Month’, working alongside The Adecco Group CEO Alain Dehaze.
The Adecco Group received over 2,700 applications in Canada for ‘CEO for One Month’, narrowing it down to a top 30 and a final group of three that were interviewed by Gilbert Boileau, President, Adecco Canada. Gilbert Boileau and the selections committee then chose the best candidate for ‘CEO for One Month’ in Canada.
Olivia Poulin said:
“I’m so grateful for this opportunity to learn from and contribute to the amazing team at Adecco. I hope to use and demonstrate skills I've been honing for years, as well as everything I will learn from Gilbert, to successfully compete for Canada at the Global CEO for One Month Competition coming up. I look forward to the personal growth and development that will come from this once in a lifetime experience.”
Gilbert Boileau, President, Adecco Canada said:
“The CEO for One Month program offers hands-on work experience to thrive in their careers and real-world training that cannot be gained in school. Olivia’s passion and drive were evident in her video presentation and interview. We not only hope to offer Olivia a life-changing experience, but we hope to gain insight from her perspective as well. We look forward to the opportunity to learn from the 2018 CEO for One Month.”
